Interns Help Keller Complete Additional Projects

Every summer, Keller Logistics Group invites college students who are looking for a challenging and   fast-paced environment related to their field of study to apply for our Intern Program.   This program allows students to gain tangible, applicable, first-hand experience in a professional atmosphere, and it allows Keller to complete projects that may have otherwise fallen by the wayside.  It also allows Keller to demonstrate to students from the area just how great of a place Keller Logistics Group is to work.  Aaron Keller, VP of Leadership & Employee Development, spoke to the value of the Intern Program at Keller Logistics Group.  “In the past 16 years it has always proven to be a challenge to find and retain top talent in the area.  As we have grown from 30 to 400 employees and more opportunities in the organization arise, we’ve worked hand in hand with several area colleges and universities to tap into their talent pool of students from Northwest Ohio,” Keller stated.  “And we’ve found some incredibly talented and motivated people that can make an immediate impact to our business.”

This summer, ten local talented college students have joined Keller Logistics Group for a summer full of challenging and applicable tasks and projects related to their fields of study.  The variety of projects currently being worked on include work in Accounting, Human Resources, Wellness, IT, Procurement, and Quality.  There are even two students going through an abbreviated Management Training Program, where they will spend time in a variety of areas to gain an understanding of how each affiliate works together.

“I’ve learned so much already from my experience with Keller, not just pertaining to my field of study but also about business relations and communication. Keller is an innovative and caring company and I’m excited that I can be a part of the team,” Kyle Moninger stated.  Jacob Sanchez added “The internship program gives me a lot of freedom on how I should complete my projects. This allows me to continuously learn new things while finding the best way to complete my projects. Since starting the program, I have been able to improve my skills immensely while gaining new ones.”
