In 2014, Keller Packaging incorporated energy-efficient lighting into the construction of its new warehouse in Napoleon, Ohio. As a result of the project, the company is expected to save 503,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy annually, $45,200 annually, and more than $678,400 over the lifetime of the installed products.
“On behalf of the City of Napoleon and Napoleon Light and Power, I would like to congratulate Keller Logistics and its management team for receiving the prestigious Ambassador of Energy Efficiency Award,” said Dennis Clapp, superintendent of Napoleon Light and Power. “Keller Logistics has been a shining example of a company that utilizes cutting edge efficiency products throughout its facilities. Napoleon Light and Power and Efficiency Smart are proud to partner with Keller Logistics to achieve long term energy savings and help them receive well deserved rebates.”
“Partnering with Efficiency Smart and Napoleon Light and Power was a great decision for our new warehouse construction,” said Bryan Keller, President and CEO of Keller Logistics Group. “Not only did we receive high quality lighting, but the energy savings both annually and lifetime will allow Keller Packaging to explore other energy savings opportunities well into the future.”
Keller Packaging worked with an Efficiency Smart energy consultant and account manager for technical project assistance and to verify savings potential. These resources were made possible through a partnership between Efficiency Smart and the City of Napoleon, designed to save Napoleon Light and Power customers money through energy efficiency.
“We are delighted to recognize Keller Packaging for making energy-efficient upgrades,” said David Cawley, director of Efficiency Smart. “These projects showcase its strong vision and commitment to reducing energy use and saving money, and the company will enjoy the benefits of energy efficiency both today and for years to come.”
The Ambassador of Energy Efficiency Award recognizes entities that have completed substantial energy efficiency projects.
