We have divested significant square footage of industrial space and currently possess multiple facilities in Kentucky and Ohio. Developing DECKED’s Manufacturing Facilities in Defiance

Keller Industrial Properties has developed three warehouses covering 320,000 square feet for DECKED, a company that designs and builds drawer storage systems for trucks. With the goal of creating new supply chain assets to attract new businesses to Northwest Ohio, we partnered with Defiance County in 2015 to construct a 100,000-square-foot spec building, which we leased to DECKED. This project created 50 jobs.

Since then, DECKED has occupied two more facilities we built in Defiance. One is a 70,000-square-foot spec building supported by the Ohio Site Inventory Program (OSIP). This facility provided 10 jobs to the local community.

The third DECKED facility is a 150,000-square-foot build, also in Defiance, which has created 70 jobs.

Transforming a Former Retail Space in Covington

We transformed the former Value City and Burlington Coat Factory retail space in Covington into a 197,000-square-foot warehousing and co-packing facility. The project goal involved:

  • Developing an unused space
  • Addressing the unavailability of warehouse space in a strategic location
  • Creating job opportunities for the community
  • Enhancing the facility for an existing business

The warehousing facility now supports Keller Warehousing & Co-Packing, an affiliate of Keller Logistics Group. The space meets the warehousing needs of the business unit and provides sufficient space to house all the necessary equipment.

It’s also close to existing transport infrastructure. Three bus stops are situated within the parking lot, making it easy for employees to get to work each day.

We worked with the city and the Chamber of Commerce to transform this facility for the betterment of the community. Our efforts restored employment and economic activities in a previously abandoned area.
