Every year Keller Logistics Group hosts a Veterans and their family appreciation dinner where sponsors are the main source of fundraising for the next year. A few years ago, we added a Golf Outing as a fundraiser for Operation K.A.V.I.C. and last year was the first 5K fun run. This year we’re excited to share that we’ll be adding another Veterans appreciation event in the summer.

Sponsorships for all 4 of our fundraising events are available and range from $3,000 for a President level sponsor to $250 for a Sergeant sponsor.
In addition to overall sponsorships, we have event specific sponsorships available, too. Check out the sponsorship flyer below. Act quickly, some sponsorships like the Beverage Cart at the golf outing or Refuel sponsor at the 5K go quickly and as there is only 1 sponsorship spot available.
Operation K.A.V.I.C. would not be possible without the support of our local businesses, vendors of Keller Logistics Group and the Defiance community. We started in late 2015 by hosting the first annual Veterans Appreciation Lunch and were amazed when we raised over $36,000 in the first year. Throughout the last 9 years we’ve continued to add events specifically for Veterans and their families and fundraising events for the community to participate.
Over the years we’ve been fortunate enough to raise enough funds to increase the yearly benefit amount for qualifying veterans and have expanded the categories supported by Operation K.A.V.I.C. Funds raised support veterans and their families in Defiance County. We can help pay for rent, medical bills, mental health services, car repairs, and even school supplies for veterans children.
Operation K.A.V.I.C. has selected Network for Good to host our online donation platform and provides our donors the option of donating via credit or debit card!
All donation sizes go towards preventing Veterans and their families in our community from experiencing financial hardships. Visit our donation page to make a positive impact for a neighbor Veteran.
We’re back for the 10th Annual Free Veterans Appreciation Dinner. Join us on Thursday, November 7th at the KofC Hall in Defiance. Sponsorships available.
We’ll be hosting a summer appreciation event for veterans and their families on Thursday, July 11th. Join us at the new Keller Clubhouse for a lunch cook-out and mini golf.
The Veteran Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their loved ones with caring, qualified responders with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Veterans and their friends and family can receive confidential support through a toll-free call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If you are a Veteran in crisis or are concerned about one, connect with a specially trained and experienced VA crisis responder anytime day or night.
We host two community events during the year where a portion of registration fees go to the Operation KAVIC fund. If you’re interested in participating in the Golf Outing for the 5K, registration links will be posted as we get closer to the event. You can follow Operation K.A.V.I.C. on Facebook to be one of the first to register. We also have event specific sponsorship opportunities available such as a lunch sponsor, beverage cart sponsor, refuel sponsor, motivational sign or flag sponsor.
These community events are FREE for Veterans! We also have a Sponsors a Veteran option so our veterans can participate in the golf outing or run in the 5K for free! More information on sponsoring a veteran can be found on our donation page or on our Facebook page.

We had our first 5K event in 2022 and we’re bringing it back again this year! Lace up your shoes and run or walk a 5K route on the Keller Logistics Group campus on the morning of Saturday, October 5th.
We have two main fundraisers through the year to prepare for the next year’s needs. Golf Outing, and sponsorships for the Veterans Appreciation Dinner.

Operation K.A.V.I.C. is there to fill the gaps in the veterans military benefits. In the past, we’ve been able to help with dental bills, car repairs, tools for work, therapy dogs, home repairs and much more! If you can think of it, we’ve probably helped with it.
100% of the funds raised goes to veterans and their families in Defiance County.
Keller Logistics Group handles the coordination and promotion of the events, the Veterans Office takes care of processing requests, and Ravens Care is the financial arm who manages the fund.
