Napoleon, OH (January 2015) – Keller Packaging, Inc., an affiliate of Keller Logistics Group, recently passed its Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program certification audit and is now registered as meeting the requirements of the SQF 2000 Code; level 2: Accredited Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP)-Based Food Safety Plans.
The SQF Program is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), as well as retailers and foodservice providers around the world, as being one of the most rigorous, credible food safety management systems in the marketplace today. Administered by the Food Marketing Institute, the SQF 2000 program reflects the Institute’s mission: “To deliver consistent, globally recognized food safety and quality certification programs based on sound scientific principles, consistently applied across all industry sectors, and valued by all stakeholders.”
Keller Packaging is sensitive to increased consumer and customer demand for food safety assurances that provide verifiable proof that aggressive food safety control systems have been effectively implemented. These systems must be properly validated, and is continually monitored to ensure all food safety initiatives are being met. The SQF Program accreditation protocols support this criterion. For Keller Packaging, food safety is not a value-added extra; it is an integral part of daily operations.
